Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Travellers Well earns praise for its excellent service, with many reviews highlighting the friendly staff and their prompt attention to needs. The delicious food never fails to impress, especially the sirloin steak and garlic and chilli prawns, which have become local favorites. Regulars appreciate the extensive menu, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, ensuring everyone can find something they love. Indoor and outdoor seating enhances the experience, particularly during warmer weather. The live music adds a vibrant touch, turning an ordinary night into a special outing.

Most Disliked

Parking can be a bit tricky due to the small lot at the back, which some visitors find inconvenient. While the food consistently receives rave reviews, a few patrons have mentioned dishes like the vegetarian lasagne being less memorable. During peak hours, noise levels may rise, making it less ideal for those seeking a quiet meal. Some diners have pointed out that reservations are a must, as the pub can reach full capacity quickly, especially on Sundays. Regular visitors also hope for a gradual expansion of the menu to include more unique dishes.

We've been here at least 10 times now and we've never once has bad food or bad service. The girl serving Saturday 12 midday on 27th October was just brilliant. A constant smile on her face, knew everything we asked, excellent manners and quick service. The teriyaki chicken my sister-in-law had,and she said it was really tasty and it came with some garden mushy peas and salad garnish with balsamic vinegar. I had the 3 bean chilli, and it was beautiful, and the mixed berry cheesecake was perfect.

Amazing food the staff can't do enough for you. Friendly face is always nice to see and there is a small car park at the rear. Worth a visit can recommend the garlic and chilli prawns!

Beautifully cooked food, excellent service and great value. Parking was a little tricky as their car park is very small, but once we found somewhere to leave the car, we were given a friendly welcome. Gluten free menu available with a wide selection including desserts. The staff were very much on the ball about allergens. A fantastic experience from start to finish, highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing experience this afternoon at The Traveller's Well. T-Bone steak was cooked perfectly. Better than my experience at actual Steak Houses. And it was very reasonably priced! Staff were friendly and very accomodating when we explained to staff about my younger brother and his Sensory Processing Disorder. We asked to be moved to a quieter table, and they happily obliged. Very positive experience. Will return as soon as Covid allows us to!
